About Dendrobium Orchids
 Dendrobium orchids are a large genus of tropical orchids with about 1200 species. They can be found across diverse regions such as the high altitude of the Himalayas, the lowland tropical forests of Southeast Asia, and the dry Australian desert. New species continue to be discovered in New Guinea. Because the plants themselves are very diverse depending on the place they originated from, they have been divided into subgroups: Nobile or Himalayan, New Guinea, and Australian.
These species grow pseudobulbs, which join together to form reedlike stems. Dendrobiums may differ greatly in their stems and leaves, but the pattern of their flowers are pretty constant: the base of the sepals is attached to the column and the lip base appears like a chin.
