About Vanda Orchids
 Vandas are tropical flowers that are easy to grow provided that they are in the right climate. The flowers are stunning with colors ranging from white, yellow, green, orange, red, and burgundy to actual blue. The Blue Vanda is the pride of many avid orchidists.
Found in India, the Himalayas, Southeast Asia, including the southern part of China, New Guinea, and Northern Australia, vandas are very rewarding orchids to grow as they frequently bloom large showy flowers that last two to three weeks. Vanda, as genera, is one of the most important in the Orchid family as far as hybridists are concerned. Some of its species are the sources of the blue and yellow colors for creating hybrids.
The Vanda has a monopodial growth habit with the appearance of its leaves varying depending on its habitat. Many Vanda species are endangered and the export or collection of wild plants is prohibited internationally.
